Obtaining Private Medical Insurance if you have a pre existing medical condition is notoriously difficult.
When applying for Private Medical Insurance it is important to
make sure that you disclose any pre existing medical conditions at
the quotation stage and within the application form.
Insurance companies will not usually charge you an extra premium
for existing conditions, but they will probably exclude cover for
your condition and related conditions from the policy. However,
some companies may cover those conditions after two years depending
upon certain circumstances. Should you need treatment for an
unrelated condition your policy would be valid.
