Charity Poker Tournament
The-Insurance-Surgery.co.uk raises over £1500 for the James Brownhill Memorial Fund.
The Insurance Surgery held their annual Charity Poker Tournament on 14 December 2011 at Macclesfield Sporting Club in aid of the James Brownhill Memorial Fund.
This fund has been set up by James' family following his death on 1st July 2011, on the Frendo spur, Chamonix, France.
The fund aims to encourage and foster a higher level of safety, good practice and sustainability within university climbing clubs.
This fund will award volunteers with bursaries to undertake courses to consolidate and develop safe climbing practice for teaching new and inexperienced climbers in individual and group situations.
More details of the fund can be found at www.jbmf.co.uk

An excellent turn out of 29 poker players of all ability levels competed for The Insurance Surgery trophy together with some healthy cash prizes.
The tournament winner was Mark Albinson from Cottons Financial Services who beat Dave Bell from Retirement Solutions in a closely contested 'heads up' finale.
The real winner of the night however was The James Brownhill Memorial Fund who received a donation of £544.
This amount was then subsequently topped up by a generous extra donation of £250 from Axis Corporate Solutions ( www.axisaccounting.co.uk )
This overall total is then doubled through a payroll giving service open to James family to give a final total of £1588.
We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended and made the event a real success.
